Course Description

This is an intermediate level course, so if you have used Microsoft Word 2016 before, or you want to jump straight into the more advanced functions, then this course is for you! Learners will gain an in-depth introduction to Microsoft Word 2016, and understand how to perform formatting and customise documents you are working with.

Before jumping into this MS Word course at the intermediate level, one should have a good basic understanding of the beginner Word functions.

We provide a one-day intensive, supported learning programme. The course is broken down by our expert tutor and will provide you with a highly interactive learning experience in our Horsham Training Centre, supported with eBooks (bring a memory stick!). Our range of Microsoft Office courses are available for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels ensuring that the learning you take away is in keeping with your day-to-day requirements. For larger groups, WDR can arrange training at your premises, or another local venue. Please speak to our team for further booking details.

Section 1

Creating, formatting and customising tables as well as sorting data and formulas.

Section 2

Using newspaper style columns and multi-level lists.

Section 3

Using the design tab to apply and modify styles and create/delete styles.

Section 4

Adding and deleting watermarks, breaks, pages, headers/footers and covers.

Section 5

Producing, sorting and filtering a mail merge.

Section 6

Sending mail merges to labels using Excel data.

Section 7

Using auto functions and learning how to manage them.

Section 8

Working with multi-level lists in depth.

Who is this course for?

Anyone who wants to take their skills to the next level with word processing would benefit from this course. A willingness and desire to learn is essential to be able to grasp the intermediate concepts of word processing. Average keyboard skills and moderate typing speed are desirable.

We recommend that learners take our basic level course before considering intermediate if they do not have much hands-on experience with Word.
