DEVELOPMENT COURSE OVERVIEW

Leading Self

Leading Self is a flexible programme designed for individual contributors. It can be delivered either totally online or as a blended solution including online virtual learning, face-to-face training and supported by coaching. This is the first level of WDR’s corporate leadership solution aimed at accelerating the development of leaders and aspiring leaders at all levels of an organisation.

There is an additional option to gain a qualification from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) at Level 2 through the completion of assignments alongside the learning content.

DEVELOPMENT COURSE OVERVIEW

Leading Teams

Leading Teams is WDR’s first level management and leadership development course. This is a flexible, blended solution offering a choice of online virtual learning and face-to-face instructor-led training, designed to run over a 6-12 month period. It can be optionally supported with individual or group coaching. Organisations can choose any or all of the modules below to form a fully integrated learning pathway for team leaders and aspiring leaders.

There is an additional option to gain a qualification from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) at Level 3 through the completion of assignments alongside the learning content.

Heres what you will learn from this course:

  • Develop your coaching skills enabling you to support your team members and enhance their performance.
  • Broaden your communication skills and develop powerful influencing skills.
  • Delegate effectively and empower your direct reports to operate autonomously whilst keeping you informed and updated.
  • Understand the processes of change and learn to lead your team through change and volatility.
  • Learn to recognise performance in your team members and know how to reward that performance appropriately.
  • Manage your time and learn to prioritise your tasks based on your personal values and organisational objectives.

DEVELOPMENT COURSE OVERVIEW

Leading Others

This programme has been designed for practicing middle managers, helping you to develop your skills and experience, improve performance and prepare for senior management responsibilities. We will explore your leadership styles, what it takes to move into high performance & what great communication looks like. The programme will also challenge your resilience, question your creativity and innovation and support you in moving into a more strategic place.

There is an additional option to gain a qualification from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) at Level 5 through the completion of assignments alongside the learning content.

Heres what you will learn from this course:

  • Develop greater levels of self-awareness and understand the impact of your actions on others.
  • Hold the vision, mission and purpose for your team and gain the commitment of your direct reports to that vision.
  • Enhance your coaching ability, enabling you to motivate, encourage and assist others in overcoming their challenges, thinking differently, and developing a growth mindset.
  • Develop your negotiation skills and create win/win outcomes – and accept “no deal” if you can’t obtain win/win!
  • Develop greater levels of personal resilience and lead through change, uncertainty and volatility.
  • Enhance your creative thinking and problem solving skills.

How is this course delivered?

This 12-18 month course comprises 15 learning modules that can be as a blended solution of online and instructor-led training. Learners or organisations can select all or a number of these modules to form an integrated learning pathway.

DEVELOPMENT COURSE OVERVIEW

Leading Organisations

A leading-edge and challenging leadership programme addressing all facets of leadership in an integrated fashion: organisational, inter-personal and emotional intelligence. We work with you enabling you to operate at a strategic level within your organisation and make the best of your resources. You will recognise the need to innovate for continuous improvement and increase your awareness of the need to optimise performance. If you regularly present arguments for change, construct business cases, lead change implementation and evaluate the impact of that change then this programme is for you. This is aimed at achieving strategic clarity and translating strategy into action.

There is an additional option to gain a qualification from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) at Level 7 through the completion of assignments alongside the learning content.

  • Develop organisational vision, mission, goals and strategy.
  • Inspire the organisation, lead organisational change and nurture innovation.
