This service is now available via ESPO through an OJEU compliant Framework Agreement to any authority that wishes to use it, without the need to go to further tender.
LearningService is a Managed Training Service, run by WDR. The service provides discounts on a wide range of training without requiring existing relationships with training providers to be broken. There is no set up fee and WDR's costs are covered by a share of the savings.
A complete Learning Management System comes at no cost to the council. The WDR approach is transformational in that training administration becomes web based, with the opportunity to free up staff time for more productive activity.

How does it work?
Put simply, a comprehensive catalogue of training courses is
designed for each individual Council with reference to training
history and known future training requirements. WDR sources
and manages new suppliers and contracts directly with existing
suppliers. The training catalogue is loaded onto the Learning
Management System which is accessed via an on-line portal, branded
and designed to suit each individual Council.
Bookings are made on-line and the service automatically handles all the administration around joining instructions, post course assessments etc. A team of Consultants is available to respond to enquiries for bespoke or specialist training and will liaise with you directly via the LearningService email account and/or a dedicated telephone line. Comprehensive reports are provided monthly together with one consolidated invoice detailing training undertaken and savings achieved.
