The purpose of the ITIL® Foundation certificate in IT Service Management is to certify that the candidate has gained knowledge of the ITIL® terminology, structure and basic concepts and has comprehended the core principles of ITIL® practices for Service Management.
ITIL ® is a non-proprietary approach for managing IT services and was developed in the1980s by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in the United Kingdom. Now considered the de facto standard for managing a business focused, cost effective IT organisation, the ITIL ® framework was recently redesigned from a process-led approach to a service lifecycle approach. This end-to-end view of how IT should be integrated with business strategy is at the heart of ITIL ® v3’s five core volumes:
• Service Strategy
• Service Design
• Service Transition
• Service Operation
• Continual Service Improvement
The courses are delivered by ISEB/EXIN accredited trainers, who will be on hand at all times during the course to offer practical advice and guidance and facilitate valuable discussion.
